Like most producers, I’ve amassed quite a library of samples over the years. Some are great, some not so much, not even for how they’ve been put together, but for the quality of sounds within.
Groovin in G’s sample packs provide a refreshing change. Painstakingly collated, curated and refined by some who really cares about the sounds they’re making, and more importantly knows the genres from the inside out, as a producer and DJ. Not many go to the lengths to organise and understand the sounds as much as G does and you can hear that in every sound across the packs.
I grabbed the 90’s Pads & Drumfunk, Photek and New Horizons pack and was blown away by the character, detail and practicality of the sounds. There’s also some nice bonus content in the Photek pack - get that one if you can’t choose! Immediately inspiring and so easy to get a track going. And with a bit of tweaking you can quickly make them your own.
Personally, I don’t always have the time or motivation to make everything from scratch every time, so being able to reach for packs like G’s means I can focus on what I love most, which is getting the ideas down.
